For those who love the classic gent style, you will be happy to know the Edward suit cut was inspired by none other than King Edward VII - a sharp dresser who never looked anything but chic.

Jacket Style

Our Edward jacket is a fitted, single-breasted style with a two button fastening. It has a double vent and button hole detail on a notched lapel. There are two jetted flap pockets and a breast pocket, all functioning, on the external along with two internal breast pockets, one pen and one ticket situated to the left for the right handed wearer.

Fabric Style

A marvellous Shetland tweed, of an Irish persuasion, in a light shade of green textured with blues and browns. The tones in this fabric allows flexibility in the choice of shirt and tie, whilst also allowing it to be worn for smart or casual occasions.

100% Wool Outer, 100% Viscose Lining.

Excellent value and great customer service

I ordered the full set and the first thing that needs to be highlighted is the speed of processing and delivery, despite the current situation with the coronavirus epidemic. I ordered on Tuesday evening and my suit was delivered on Thursday morning !
The quality of the fabric is great for the price, and it has a great feel on the skin. I would say the suit is made for a relatively athletic build (shoulders and chest are definitely not too tight) as I am 1,92cm (6'3) and weighs 80 kg, I took the 40L jacket and 34L trousers. The trousers are on the slimmer side, especially for those of us with meaty thighs, but the overall look works as the waist is quite marked.
The notched lapel rises a bit high in my opinion, almost reaching the shoulder, so careful if you have a neck on the thinner side, maybe another model would be better suited for you, otherwise, it is a fantastic buy!
The only bit that needs altering would be the sleeve length , as they are 3cm longer on a long fit than on a regular fit where 1.5cm would have sufficed for me, but that's nothing your local tailor can't handle easily.

Overall a great suit !

The three piece Moss Donegal Pattern Shetland Tweed needs very little work other than hemming the trousers. It fits like a slim fit but with more room in the shoulders and chest for more athletically built men. ( I am 184 centimeters, or 6'0 in height and weigh 205 pounds or 92 kilograms). My sizes were 44R for jacket and waistcoat, and 36 W trousers with 32 inseam.

The jacket is well made and accommodates those with a military posture, I would further say that the Edward style jacket is made with that feature in mind.

The colour is much darker than shown, it appears more tan with bright green tints. But as with all tweeds from Walker Slater it depends on the light source as the colours appear different in natural and artificial light.

I ordered the Edward three piece suit in Moss Donegal pattern for my husband and it fits perfectly. The cloth is excellent quality and style is gorgious. The delivery to Germany has been very quick and uncomplicated. We are very happy with it!

At the risk of seeming to have been studying a thesaurus, I would like to say that this is the best suit I've ever worn. The fabric is perfect, the fit is fantastic (better than a made to measure), the style is gorgeous and the making is excellent.

I got my Edward 3 piece suit yesterday for my wedding and I was a bit anxious if it was going to fit ok, having never wore or owned one in my life. But God, it was absolutely amazing! My story with Walker Slaters started a few weeks ago when I contacted their customer service as I wasn't too sure which size to buy. I have to say Kathryn was the most patient and kind person I came accross, who loves and knows her job, who gave me wonderful and helpful advices and that is so very important nowadays over the internet. And ultimately she is the reason I bought my suit. I owe her big time because she saved my day !
The suit arrived via FedEx, very well folded in a parcel. And very quick too (I live in south of France, it took 2 days). When I opened it, I fell in love with it. The tweed is of very high quality, the cut is fantastic, exactly like in the picture. No threads hanging, no button loose... The suit is simply perfect. The trousers, as mentionned in an earlier review, have a normal rise, not low waist, which is perfect to wear with the waistcoat. If something could be improved perhaps is the addition of extra buttons to wear braces. They are half lined as well so they are very comfortable. And the jacket... the fit is superb !
Simply superb. Thank you so so much all the staff at Walker Slaters. I am not only a happy customer, I will be a regular one : I have my eyes set on other beauties of yours now. So hopefully a story that started few weeks ago will never end.
And for those who still hesitate in buying with Walker Slaters : don't. Rest assured they will do the very best for you.

I was looking for a suit that has nice lines and comfortable. I love the rise of the trouser which are the normal type not like the new low waist fashion ones, the jacket fits like a glove but if you want a bit more room you might want to go the next size, the waistcoat needs one or two size up unless you're belly looks like a six pack . . . I wear the trouser with braces so I selected one size up from my normal waist size, again very true to natural measures. The ease of the entire suit is more on the fitted side though; if you want more ease then you select one size larger or go to the James line which I intend to do when my selection is in stock. Overall very pleasant shopping experience, Kathryn was very helpful and answered all my questions, shipping was super, super fast. I think I'll be buying a lot more . . .

    We offer a free delivery option on all UK orders over £50. Our free delivery option used Royal Mail Second Class for smaller items and DHL Economy for larger items. Delivery should take 3-5 working days but this isn’t guaranteed.

    If you need your item more quickly there are express options available and if you need it ‘next day’ then please ensure you place your order by 2pm (UK time). Orders placed after 2pm on a Friday will be shipped the following Monday.

    2. How to Track your Order

    Please refer to your order dispatch confirmation email to see when your order was dispatched, with who and whether it was a tracked service. 

    If it is a tracked service, you will receive an email with the tracking number for either Royal Mail or DHL once it is dispatched by us.

  • Returns & Exchanges

    If you order something from us then decide you want to return or exchange it, we will do all we can to make it a simple as possible.

    As a general rule, we will accept any purchases for an exchange or refund provided it arrives back with us within 60 days of it arriving with you, and that the items are returned in an ‘as new’ and unused condition with all packaging and tags.

    Please note, we cannot accept the return / exchange of hemmed trousers. If you are unsure of your sizing we recommend choosing ‘unfinished’ and use your local tailor for your adjustments.

    If it has been more than 60 days since the purchase arrived with you, please contact us with your order details to check whether we can accept your return.

    The Returns / Exchange Process

    All website returns and exchanges must be returned to our warehouse. Please do not try to exchange an item or request a refund at one of our shops. Under no circumstances are we able to process returns or exchanges at our shops, they do not have access to our online order system.
    Included with your original order you will have found a Returns Postcard. Please complete this in full and return this with the item(s) to:

    Please ensure any returns to us from outwith the European Union are marked as ‘Returned Goods’ with a £0 (or the lowest option) value on the customs declaration otherwise you may be charged the import tax on its arrival in the UK.

    Who Pays for the Return / Exchange Shipping?
    Unless the items are faulty, you will be responsible for covering the cost of returning the item and ensuring that it arrives safely with us, so you may want to consider a tracked service for peace of mind. For exchanges, we will cover the cost of shipping the replacement out to you.

    Exchanges
    For exchanges, if we have the requested item in stock, we will ship it out to you right away. If it is not in stock we will contact you to discuss an alternative item or whether you would prefer a refund. If there is a difference in price we will either contact you for an additional payment or automatically refund the card you paid with.
    Please note, if you need your alternative item in a hurry we suggest you place a new order for the alternative item right away and send the original back to us for a refund. This will ensure it gets to you in the shortest possible time and avoids the risk of it selling out.

    Refunds
    All refunds will be made to the card the original payment was made with and the funds should be back on your card within three to five working days of the return being processed by us.

    Faulty Items
    In the unlikely event that something arrives with you and you think it might be faulty, please email us referencing your order number as soon as possible, with details of what appears to be the issue as well as photos of the problem. If the item is found to be faulty we will do all we can to get a replacement to you as quickly as possible, as well as covering the courier cost.
