Made-to-Measure

The Service

Made-To-Measure is an opportunity to create a garment tailored specifically to you and your taste. The process is by appointment only, offering an exclusive experience and delivering garments as special as the service.

We offer a full Made-To-Measure service with over ten thousand premium fabrics to choose from, those synonymous with the Scottish Tweed regions as well as English worsteds, cashmeres from Italy and linens from Ireland. We consider seasonality, pattern and composition when putting together our fabric collection and are confident we will have something to satisfy all tastes.

Suits, jackets, trousers and waistcoats are our most popular choices but that doesn't mean we aren’t happy to take on a challenge. We have made vintage fishtailed trousers, frock and morning coats, highland wear and even shirts.

All our garments are made to your specific height, proportions and measurements. An innumerable amount of options for detailing and personalisation is also available. Only once you are completely satisfied with all your choices will the garment be placed into production.

The standard Made-to-Measure process takes around ten to twelve weeks.

For International clients, please note that in-person fittings are an integral part of the process, we unfortunately do not offer this service remotely, we can however accommodate client who travel regularly by spacing out fittings to coincide with their visits.

The Process

  1. Arrange an Appointment

Visit us in Edinburgh, London or Glasgow to discuss placing a new order with our specialists.

  1. Consultation

During your Made-To-Measure appointment we will take some time to understand your lifestyle and the kind of garment you are looking for. We will then discuss the type and shape of suit or jacket, and choice of fabrics that will suit you.

  1. Taking Measures

We will take several measurements and assessments. Some against your body and others with fitting garments on, to ensure we get an accurate examination of your physique.

  1. Fitting

Around 8-10 weeks later, your order will return from our workshop, ready for fitting. At this stage, we will evaluate all aspects of the garment’s fit, and make final adjustments to details like the jacket’s waist and sleeve length, and trouser width and finish.

  1. Adjustments

After your fitting, we will make any final adjustments to your new garments, using our specialist alterations tailors. This usually takes no longer than 10 days after the fitting, but sometime this requires more than just one fitting. We generally work on the three fittings concept, just to make sure it is right!

  1. Collection

With final alterations completed, your new Made-To-Measure garment will be ready for collection.
