Style

The Martin jacket is a contemporary silhouette, with nods to classic tailoring. Narrow shoulders, slim sleeves, a high button point, and (slightly) slimmer lapels give Martin a lean, rectangular silhouette. Classic British tailoring details like side vents, slanted flap pockets, and our signature structured shoulder keep the look from straying too far into contemporary fashions. While not as classic as some of our other styles, Martin is just as versatile and can be worn for a variety of occasions.

Fit

Martin is a slim fit jacket with narrow, structured shoulders and slim sleeves. While the waist fit is similar to our other jackets, the chest and hips have been reduced for a slimmer overall look. Those who prefer a slim fit should take their usual size, while those who prefer a regular fit should size up.

Due to the narrow shoulders of the Martin jacket, the style can easily be sized up for a looser fit without the shoulders becoming too broad.

Our Martin trousers are a flat-fronted style with a slim, tapered silhouette.

The Martin trousers are a slim fit with a tapered leg and medium rise. We would advise taking your usual size. Those with more athletic legs may wish to size up.

Our Martin waistcoat is a modern take on our more traditional styles. Retaining the high closure and fitted shape of our classic waistcoats but streamlined with jetted hip pockets and no lapels.

Martin is a slim fit waistcoat with a lightly shaped waist. We would advise taking your usual size. Those with a larger waist relative to their chest may wish to size up.

The Torrance shirt is a versatile button-down collar shirt with a patch breast pocket and rear box pleat. The button-down collar is a classic collegiate style with its origins on polo grounds. The collar buttons were initially added to prevent errant collar points flapping into player's faces. While no longer worn for sport, the button-down collar shirt has become a modern staple. The buttons keep the collar upright and in place without a jacket for support.

Herringbone

Herringbone, also called broken twill weave, describes a distinctive V-shaped weaving pattern. It is distinguished from a plain chevron by the break at reversal, which makes it resemble a broken zigzag. The pattern is called herringbone because it resembles the skeleton of a herring fish.
