Style
Available in a kaleidoscopic range of colours, our classic berets are a perfect finishing touch. Made from pure new merino wool, these berets have a soft and lightly brushed texture that pairs beautifully with a range of different fabrics. This "slouchy" variation has a classic beret top but a longer brim and shaft, allowing the hat to be styled in all manner of different ways. For a classic look, fold the brim inwards and form a "mushroom top" shape. Alternatively, put the hat on normally and slouch the excess to one side. The longer shaft can also be folded upwards, forming a band. The possibilities are endless - experiment and find a style all your own.
Though commonly associated with France, the beret or "bonnet" has a rich history in Scotland. Commonly dyed in shades of either blue or grey, a larger version of the style was popular among the working classes as way to keep the head warm and protect from rain. The style was eventually adopted by the military and became an iconic piece of uniform for various Scottish regiments.
