Style

Our Francis jacket is a single breasted, double vented style with broad shoulders, long body and slightly nipped waist; collectively providing a strong silhouette.

- Two button fastening
- Notch lapel with button hole stitch detail
- Five button sham cuff
- Under collar melton
- Two external slanted flap pockets plus welted outer breast pocket (all functional)
- Four internal pockets; three on the left, one on the right with v-flap fastening
- Columbia Stitch

Fabric

A sharp troutbone pattern in silvery grey with delicate brown fibres woven throughout; lending an edge of warmth.

The history of the Pendle tweed goes back to 16th century Lancashire and two families - the Whittles and the Devices - who were known collectively as 'the Pendle Witches'. They delved into the carding and spinning of wool, alongside poaching, stealing and supernatural tasks to get by. We affectionately know this fabric as the 'witchy tweed'.
