Style

Our signature jacket style, Edward's structured shoulders and nipped waist give the jacket an elegant, shaped appearance, drawing from classic British tailoring. A broader lapel and high set gorge visually widen the shoulders, while the low button stance and flared skirt create the illusion of slimmer waist. High armholes and a full but tapering sleeve finish off the look, providing a clean look that remains comfortable while in motion. This jacket is as flattering as it is comfortable, it's no surprise this has become our signature style.

Fit

Edward is a slim fitting jacket with broad, structured shoulders, high armholes, and a nipped waist. We would advise taking your usual size for a slim fit or sizing up for a regular fit.

Fabric

Our lambswool tweed is created using wool taken from the first shearing of young sheep. This means that the wool is soft, fine, and light. These fibres are then spun to create a fabric with a compact and smooth handle that is soft to the touch, but that still has a distinct texture.

Fabric Details

  • Weight: 395/G/M2(Midweight Tweed)

  • Outer: 100% Wool

  • Lining: 100% Viscose

  • Dry clean only.

  • Do not iron.

  • Do not tumble dry.

Windowpane

A large version of a graph check, where vertical and horizontal lines cross the fabric to create squares, reminiscent of a window with divided panes.

I reviewed the Edward suit under the Charcoal Donegal Tweed, all to the good. But I must say, as someone who has long tended toward black and gray, I was surprised how much I was drawn to this fabric and how much the suit has become one of, in not the, favorite among my suits. The brown is surprisingly rich and the blue really comes through quite strongly. I like to wear it with vibrant blue shoes and either a blue/gray check shirt or a purple/blue check shirt. I have also worn it with the navy corduroy Edward waistcoat with a stripy blue/purple shirt for a bit of contrast. Lovely all around.
