Style

The Deborah is a high waisted skirt with a wide waistband and looser pleats at the hips. This wrap-around number is a flattering, practical piece for everyday wear or more formal occasions. There is a kilt-like element—with a flat front and large pleats allowing for some swing—without being too heavy. Looks lovely paired with a plain blouse, knitted short cardie or cashmere jumper.

The wrap is held in place with a series of hook-and-eye fastenings.

The Shetland Tweed is made using wool from Shetland Sheep. These sheep have a naturally soft and fine wool, which is then spun to create a tight and thin tweed fabric with a slightly shaggy finish.

Herringbone

Herringbone, also called broken twill weave, describes a distinctive V-shaped weaving pattern. It is distinguished from a plain chevron by the break at reversal, which makes it resemble a broken zigzag. The pattern is called herringbone because it resembles the skeleton of a herring fish.
