‘Sandaigh’ comes from the Scottish Gaelic name for a tiny island in the Inner Hebrides. Our Sandaigh town coat is an elegant double-breasted coat with a small stand-up collar, buttoned cuffs, two discrete external pockets and belt detailing on the back. This coat has an incredibly flattering cut and is a simple style that will not date.

Herringbone, also called broken twill weave, describes a distinctive V-shaped weaving pattern. It is distinguished from a plain chevron by the break at reversal, which makes it resemble a broken zigzag. The pattern is called herringbone because it resembles the skeleton of a herring fish.
