When we think of the shearling bomber jacket, gents such as Robert Redford and Steve McQueen spring to mind; vintage, stylish and effortlessly cool. They had a much more practical approach for pilots who wore styles like the Lancaster to ensure they were warm in open cockpits; the inner wool providing temperature control whilst the outer leather is the perfect natural windbreaker.
The Lancaster has a zip fastening up to the neck, with double strap on the collar for extra warmth and protection, if necessary. An extra close fit can be achieved with adjustment of the fasteners on the lower body. Other details include slip pockets and a removable hood (buttoned).
