Jason Covert Coat

Style

The covert coat style cropped up in the early 19th century as a horse rider's alternative to a topcoat. This shorter, less formal option has been donned for sport and fashion over the years, generally being made of heavy tweed or thick wool. The Jason has classic notched lapels, quadruple stitch detail at the cuff and hem and velvet collar, alongside four slanted flap pockets, breast pocket and single vent for movement. The design neatly fits one of our suit jackets underneath, but can also be worn more like a jacket with some thick knitwear and a scarf.
