Herringbone
Herringbone, also called broken twill weave, describes a distinctive V-shaped weaving pattern. It is distinguished from a plain chevron by the break at reversal, which makes it resemble a broken zigzag. The pattern is called herringbone because it resembles the skeleton of a herring fish.

My 4th pair of wool Edwards. Fabrics are beautiful and luxurious to touch. An excellent value compared to similar in the US and shipping is reasonable. The wool cashmere blend is light and wearable through spring. Note these are medium rise yet still fit according to my standard US waist size. Taper in the legs is a bit narrow for me at the cuff but modern. Added braces buttons and the stance is much further forward in front than US standard. Makes them more visible with an odd jacket so perhaps add later. My new go to vendor for traditional tweeds!
